During my years at undergrad, I found a passion for photography and specifically styling for photography. It is such a different art to designing and styling for theatre and it allows for a different kind of creativity that I love to express through putting together outfits, hair, and make-up.
One of my favorite type of shoots to style for are themed one based on a specific period, historical character, or movie/fictional character.
I have styled and put together shoots for some of my favorite movies and historical characters such as: Heathers, Disney's Tangled, and Bonnie and Clyde.
Recently I have started dabbling in casual photography and I have found it enhances my love and the creativity of staging and styling for photography as I am able to see for myself what the end product will look like as the process is taking place.
I love the freedom it gives me to be able to be more flexible in my creativity and craft, even though I love working with photographers and I am blessed to have many friends who are very skilled, it is nice to not be fully dependent on others to be creative in this way.
