Top Ten Goals for Quarantine

Writer: Lattes and LipstickLattes and Lipstick

It is the beginning of week two of the statewide stay-at-home order here on the river and I have realized that unless I set specific goals for myself to accomplish during this free time I have I will end up just wasting most of it. So here are some goals that I have created foe myself to accomplish during the next week(?)

1. Get into the habit of cooking meals (I am terrible with just getting take-out on my way from things and I need to learn how to cook)

2. Find a workout plan and stick to it (I was in such good shape due to dance classes and my workouts my last year at university and I miss how it feels so much)

3. Work on building my online presence through my Instagram and this blog (I love being able to create posts and I want to work on being more active and creating better content)

4. Read all the books that have been piling up on my TBR and around my apartment (I love reading so much and I have been unable to read lately and I miss it so much)

5. Create some semblance of a routine (Things have been so crazy lately and I have been going to bed so late because I didn't realize how late it was and sleeping in because of that)

6. Create at least one project per week (I love art and I have realized my passion for drawing and sketching lately and that joy and passion was sadly taken from me and I am just now working on getting it back)

7. Take at least one class per week online to learn something new (I got a 3 month free trial to a place called Skill Share and now I finally have the time to use it)

8. Organize my house (I have so much stuff everywhere and I am sure a lot of it is not organized in an effective way)

9. Get rid of anything that I do not need (I have collected so much stuff over the years and I am sure that I am holding onto a lot of it in hopes of one day maybe using it)

10. Actually plan out some sewing projects (I have so much fabric and ideas on what to use it for and I feel like I have enough knowledge and almost enough courage to try to make something on my own now)

Those are some of my goals for being productive during this uncertain and scary time. I also have goals for cleaning up and fixing my portfolio and possibly creating some self tapes for a reel as I am trying to get back into acting and my film project has been postponed until a much later date (fingers crossed that it is still happening).

I hope you all are staying inside and safe, this too shall pass and we will all appreciate the world so much more after all this is over!
