Weekend Update!

Writer: Lattes and LipstickLattes and Lipstick

Another week has gone by and it was full of project due dates, rushing around, and finally cleaning the dishes out of the sink. I am posting this so late at night because I had my first overtime work call today (and I have to go back in tomorrow), yay. Our first show goes into dress tomorrow and there is still so much to be done. There are a lot of pieces being built and that has slowed us down on being able to finish costume pieces faster (That and a few mishaps with getting fabric delivered, perks of the job). My week last week did not end well and this week has had many horrible days and a few just okay days. Sadly this week has been more negative and difficult than others, but I am trying to rise above it.

It's been a lot of refocusing to get to the mindset I'm in now and the past day has gone much more smoothly (minus the downpour of rain I had to run through to get to my car a half a block away). The most stressful part of it all was that I still had to be able to get things done once I came home, no matter how tired I was or how much I just wanted to burst into tears I still had a huge to do list waiting for me.

I had organized out last weekend what I was going to do on what day so that I was able to get everything done in a less stressful way. That went completely out the window as soon as the week started and left me having to catch up in order to complete my projects and homework in time. Everything got done in time and in a way that I am proud of, but I simply cannot take another week this stressful. I'm still trying to plan things out better and learn to manage my few hours of free time each day better in order to work ahead, but ultimately I wish there were more hours in the day.

This has been a short update into my insane week, hopefully next week gets better. I don't think I can handle another week of struggling.
